Andrew Jamieson
Andrew brings a wealth of experience to St. Columbanus AG, having served in the financial sector for over thirty years.
Throughout that time, he has worked in Investment Banking as a securities broker, corporate financier and fund manager. He began his career at Vickers da Costa, later moving to Robert Fleming Securities. Recruited to help launch Peregrine International Securities Limited, he assisted in its growth to a significant publicly listed company.
As Chief Executive of Peregrine International Securities Limited (PISL), the equity distribution arm of Peregrine Investment Holdings Limited, Andrew was responsible for the management of over 850 salesmen, traders, analysts and equity capital markets personnel covering 16 offices in 14 countries and territories. He later assumed the CEO position for Santander Investment Securities, when the major Spanish bank Banco Santander acquired PISL.
He went on to launch two successful hedge funds and establish the Asian corporate advisory business for the Swiss bank Mirabaud et Cie before joining MG Capital to assist in reformation of their Chinese corporate advisory arm. Since 2009, Andrew is Managing Partner with Purbeck Advisors, a specialist investment advisory boutique to the financial services sector.
Within the investment management sector, Andrew has developed considerable experience, both in structuring new products and adapting existing funds to reach a broader range of investors. Andrew has the UK Society of Investment Management qualification and is registered with the FSA in UK.
